Outreach for schools academies and trusts:
We offer a bespoke suite of services designed specifically for education.
- Consultation and review for internal Alternative Provision: By advising on onsite curriculum and alternative provision, we can help you to keep your vulnerable students in mainstream education and avoid permanent exclusion. Access tools to significantly improve outcomes for your students with a personal review. We can also help you to set up an ongoing programme.
- Inclusion, behaviour and curriculum review: Optimise your offer, improve outcomes and enhance your provision. A comprehensive audit of data, policies, procedures and case studies. We will meet with senior leaders and map out how to make gains in targeted areas. You’ll get a full report detailing quick wins, as well as medium and long-term actions and how to avoid own goals.
- Student consultation: Prevent permanent exclusion by ensuring that appropriate, needs-based provision is in place for vulnerable students. We will meet with key staff, review paperwork and consult with individual students. We can also offer a mentoring service for students.
- Training on relational behaviour approaches: Ensure best practice and maximise the impact of your behaviour protocols. Learn how to adapt your curriculum in a targeted way. We will review your policies and procedures, meet with key staff and offer training to staff groups or all staff.
Stephen's Background
Stephen’s extraordinary history sets him apart as a dynamic leader and problem solver. After earning a degree in The Teaching of English and playing American Football at The University of Illinois, he turned down a professional wrestling contract to pursue higher education in the UK as a Fulbright Scholar. He completed an MPhil in Shakespeare Studies and English Literature at The University of Birmingham and The Shakespeare Institute.
Since then, Stephen has lived in the UK for over two decades, becoming a driving force in alternative education and the head of one of the fastest-growing multi academy trusts in the UK. Last year, he was awarded Principal of the Year at the prestigious Education Awards.
Since founding Solihull Academy in 2018, Stephen has grown the organisation into a multi-site trust that now serves hundreds of students across the West Midlands. As an experienced leader in Alternative Provision, Stephen understands the importance of tackling difficult conversations, managing conflict, and fostering inclusion. His expertise isn’t confined to the education sector—Stephen has spoken at major conferences, sits on the Secondary Council for NAHT, co-leads for PRUsAP in the West Midlands, and has been deeply involved in initiatives for vulnerable and challenging youth.
Proven Success and Recognition
Stephen’s methods and insights have been honed not only through his work in education but through his broader contributions to fields like music, trauma recovery, and personal development. As a founding trustee of The Institute for Recovery from Childhood Trauma, Stephen’s multidisciplinary talents give him a deep understanding of human behavior and resilience.
